Privacy Policy
This page explains what information is collected when you use ReadyUtilities.com and the other sites in the Ready Utilities network, why it is collected, and the choices you have.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to ReadyUtilities.com and to the individual tool sites listed on the hub page, all of which are operated by Ready Utilities. It is written in plain language on purpose. It is not legal advice, and it may be updated from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
What we collect
Information you type into a tool. The calculators, converters, and generators run in your browser. The values you enter are used to produce a result on the page and are not sent to our servers or stored by us.
Information you send through the contact form. If you use a contact form on any site in the network, your name, email address, the subject you choose, and your message are emailed directly to our inbox so we can reply. This is handled by our own self-hosted form on readyutilities.com, not by a third-party form service. That information is used only to respond to your inquiry and is not stored in a database, shared with third parties, or used for marketing.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs that may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visited. These logs are used for security and to keep the sites running.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Our own pages do not set cookies to track you. However, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve and measure ads, as described in the next section. You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings; the tools will still work if you do.
Advertising and Google AdSense
The sites in the Ready Utilities network display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Other third-party ad networks may also serve ads on these sites. Those vendors may use cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies, and we do not control the information they collect.
Affiliate links
Some pages may contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Where affiliate links are present, the page says so. The affiliate program may set its own cookies to attribute the referral.
Analytics
We may use analytics services to understand how many people visit the sites and which tools are used most. Any such service would collect information like pages viewed, approximate location, and device type, usually through cookies. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.
Your rights and choices
Visitors in California. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents may have the right to know what personal information is collected about them, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Advertising cookies may qualify as "sharing" under California law; you can opt out using the Google and aboutads.info links above.
Visitors in the EU, EEA, and UK. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Because we do not keep the information you enter into tools, the only personal data we are likely to hold is what you sent us through the contact form.
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@readyutilities.com or use the contact page.
Children's privacy
Our sites are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Tool pages sometimes link to outside websites for reference. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the updated version is posted here and the date at the top of the page is revised. Continued use of the sites after a change means you accept the updated policy.
